Robert Timothy Young Sr., 50, of De Soto died Oct. 31, 2018, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Young was a warehouse receiving manager and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed all sports, working on cars and gardening. Born Aug. 16, 1968, in St. Louis, he was the son of Mary (Schuchardt) Young of Dittmer and the late Richard Thomas Young Sr.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his significant other: Rhonda Davis of De Soto; a son: Robert Young Jr. of Chesterfield; a daughter: Jessca Young of North Manchester, Ind.; a stepson: Thomas Sidman of New York City; a brother: Richard (Amy) Young Jr. of Festus; a sister: Tammy (Rob) Rainwater of Hillsboro; and one granddaughter: Lily Finney of North Manchester, Ind.
Visitation is at noon and a funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus, officiated by the Rev. Gene Moses. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
