Robert Smith, 65, of Brookshire, Texas, formerly of Arnold, died Sept. 24, 2018, in Brookshire, Texas. Mr. Smith was a truck driver. Born April 4, 1953, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Louis C. and Sue Ann (Haley) Smith.
He is survived by four siblings: Frances (Joseph) Schumacher of Imperial; Ruth James of Valley Park, David Smith of Crystal City and Charles (Linda) Smith of Williamsville; one uncle; three aunts; seven nephews; five nieces; 22 great-nieces and great-nephews; and many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his dear friend: Cathy Miller.
Private graveside services were held April 15 at St. Matthew Cemetery in St. Louis. A memorial gathering will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 28, at the Meramec-Arnold Elks Lodge, 1515 Miller Road, in Imperial.
