Richard Matthew “Rick” Stiens, 36, of Arnold died June 19, 2018, at his home. Mr. Stiens was a truck driver and a member of Community of Christ Church. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Born Sept. 6, 1981, in St. LouisCounty, he was the son of Laura Denise (Jeffrey) Lane Broadway of Arnold and Brian David Stiens of St. Peters.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 10 years: Christina Kohout Stiens of Arnold; three children: Riley Stiens, Kiley Stiens, and Brody Stiens, all of Arnold; a stepson: Tyler Barbagallo of Arnold; six stepsiblings: Danielle (Connor) McCarthy of Chicago, Christopher (Amanda) Broadway, stationed in Fort Bragg, N.C., Justin (Heather) Bahr of Farmington, Juliuanna Brook (Roy) Augustine of Paris, France, Clayton Stiens of Old Monroe and Blake (Amanda) Stiens, stationed in Twenty Nine Palms, Calif.; his grandparents: William Dennis and Nora Lane; his great-grandparents: Richard (Phyllis) Stiens Sr.; and three uncles: Richard (Michelle) Stiens Jr., Gary (Jean) Stiens and Mark (Gail) Stiens.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother: Julie Stiens; and an uncle: Loren Lane.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 30, at Community of Christ Church, 2315 Lonedell Road, in Arnold, officiated by Gordon Parrott.
