Richard Charles Werner, 79, of Festus died Dec. 10, 2019, at his home. Mr. Werner was an estimator for Woodard Contracting in St. Louis. He was born June 19, 1940, in Bloomsdale, the son of the late Anita (Lamb) and Amos Werner. He was preceded in death by his wife: Patricia Ann (White) Werner.
He is survived by three sons: Gary Werner of Festus, Charlie (Glenda) Werner of Visalia, Calif., and Alan (Kristi) Werner of Crystal City; two sisters: Diana (the late Bill) LaRose of Bloomsdale and Patty (the late John) Zoellner of Ste. Genevieve; four brothers: Art (Judy) Werner of Virginia, Tommy (Jean) Werner of Bloomsdale, Eddie (Melodye) Werner of Bloomsdale and Johnny (Michele) Werner of St. Ann; and three grandchildren: Alex, Laurie and Jacob Werner.
A memorial gathering is at 1:30 p.m. and a memorial service is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
