Raymond “Ray” Delmar Roberts, 81, of Piedmont, formerly of Crystal City, died May 3, 2022, at Clark's Mountain Skilled Nursing in Piedmont. Mr. Roberts worked as a mailroom clerk for Liguori Catholic Publications in Liguori and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Crystal City. He had a passion for old cars and enjoyed being outdoors and fishing. Born Aug. 5, 1940, in Horine, he was the son of the late Thelma (Wideman) and Thomas R. Roberts.
He is survived by his wife: Patricia (Ziegelmeyer) Roberts; a son: Roderique Roberts of Crystal City; a granddaughter: Morgan Roberts; and two sisters: Louise (the late Clifford) Smith of Bourbonnais, Ill., and Florence (Wiley) Sims of Festus.
He was preceded in death by a son: Darin; a sister: Charlotte (the late Harry) Barnes; three brothers: James (Gay survives) Dunham, Floyd Dunham and Leonard (the late Dorothy) Murphy.
The family will hold private services. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
