Randel Earl Risenhoover, 74, of De Soto died July 23, 2021, at his home. Mr. Risenhoover was a boilermaker for Local 27. He enjoyed sitting in his backyard and watching nature, was a fan of Cardinals baseball and enjoyed spending time with his family. Born Sept. 1, 1946, in Montrose, Colo., he was the son of the late Earl Benton and Evelyn Margaret (Johnston) Risenhoover. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Ann (Swearingen) Risenhoover.
He is survived by a son: Randel Earl (Christy) Risenhoover II of De Soto; a daughter: Julie (fiancé Matt) Risenhoover of Festus; four brothers: Jimmie Risenhoover of McDonald, Tenn., Bennie Risenhoover of Bonne Terre, Norval Risenhoover of Miden, Nev., and Darrell Risenhoover of Vandalia, Ill.; five grandchildren: Dakotah, Randel David, Jacob, Abbey and Ryan; two great-grandchildren: Nevaeh and Emery; and numerous other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son: Craig Risenhoover; a brother: Bert Risenhoover; and a sister: Barbara Willis.
A funeral service with military honors was held July 31 at Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto Chapel. Memorials may be made to the City of De Soto Kennel, 1310 Public Works Dr., De Soto, 63020. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
