Haley, Pauline

Pauline (Drinnin) Haley, 7, of De Soto, formerly of Cahokia, Ill., died Sept. 20, 2021, in Fenton. Mrs. Haley was the longtime owner/operator of Haley’s Auto Sales in Cahokia. She enjoyed collecting dolls and Precious Moments figurines, dancing, and music, especially Elvis Presley. Born Dec. 26, 1950, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Samuel P. and Virginia (Fey) Drinnin.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years: Larry Haley of De Soto; a son: Sam Haley of De Soto; two daughters: Sandra (Eddie) Haynes of Kansas and Petti Jean “PJ” Buck of Caruthersville; six sisters: Alice (Ed) Booe of Bowie, Texas, Glenda Stevenson of Fenton, Caroline Doss of Oakville, Sandra Mueller of Hillsboro, Donna Black of Imperial and Margaret (Dan) Gagne of Lake St. Louis; a brother: Harold Drinnin of French Village; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother: Samuel Charles Leroy Drinnin; and a daughter-in-law: Gail Haley.

A memorial gathering is scheduled from 2 p.m. until a memorial service at 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, at Robert D. Brown Funeral Home, 103 Fourth St., in Hillsboro. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert D. Brown Funeral Home.
