Shirley A. Ingram, 87, of Pevely died June 21, 2023. Mrs. Ingram was a self-taught dietician who worked in nursing homes and educational kitchens. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, baking and canning as well as taking care of others. Born Nov. 1, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Rosa May and John Leslie Siner of Terre Haute, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her husband: John R. Ingram Jr.
She is survived by a brother: Donald Siner; a sister: Rosetta Newton; four children: Melodie Berry, Melinda (Mark) Leazar, John (Annette) Ingram II and Keith (Mattie) Ingram; six grandchildren: Nikki Banana, Aric, Chris and Justin Ingram, Zach Mattison and Chelsea Hunt; and four great-grandchildren: Emily Roberts, Abigail Johnson and Grayson and Ethan Hunt.
She was preceded in death by a stepmother: Ethel V. Siner, three brothers: John Siner, Robert Siner and Danny Siner; and a son-in-law: Bill Berry.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, June 30, at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive, in Terre Haute, Ind. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 1, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are under the direction of DeBaun Funeral Home.
