Joan Vernetta Giudicy, 63, of Pevely died in December of 2022, and was found several weeks later after being reported missing. Mrs. Giudicy worked in hospice care and was a member of Radiant Life Church in Festus. Born March 8, 1959, in Poplar Bluff, she was the daughter of the late Charles Ira Morris and Ruth (Boyer) and Richard Patterson.
She is survived by three children: Stephanie Giudicy, Dawn (Paul) Miller and Michael (Lacy) Giudicy; four siblings: Chuck (Gwen) Morris, Roger (Sharon) Morris, Patti Belle Patterson and Richard (Susan) Patterson; five grandchildren: Aubrey Miller, Krew Miller, Elin Miller, Cooper Giudicy and Jetta Giudicy; and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by a sister: Renee Patterson.
A celebration of life is scheduled from 4-7 p.m. Friday, June 9, at Radiant Life Church, 11533 Gamel Cemetery Road, in Festus. The family is still seeking information about Ms. Giudicy’s disappearance; anyone with information is urged to contact the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
