Kull, Wayne

Wayne Kull, 92, of Imperial died March 1, 2026, in St. Louis. After graduating from Bayless High School in 1951, Mr. Kull worked for Loughborough Auto Body for many years. Following retirement, he took a part-time job at the Festus Walmart, where he celebrated 20 years of employment on Feb. 26. He was a Korean War veteran who served in the National Guard, a member of First Baptist Church of Arnold and a member of DeMolay International. He married his wife in 1952 and lived in Imperial for 40 years. He enjoyed classic cars, his many pets and feeding wild deer and raccoons every evening. A good carpenter and handyman, he was known for his willingness to help others. Born July 21, 1933, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Bessie Kull and Rudolph Kull.

He is survived by his wife of 73 years: Jacqueline “Jackie” (Hauser) Kull of Imperial; three daughters: Sherry Kull of Imperial, Cynthia (Philip) Carlton of Windham, Maine, and Cathy Sutler of Imperial; two grandchildren: Stephanie Sutler (Kurt) Engle of Herculaneum and Stephen Sutler of Imperial; two great-grandchildren: Jaxon and Sadie Engle; a sister: Sharon Kull Bradford; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a grandson: Steven Carlton.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, March 16, at First Baptist Church of Arnold, 2012 Missouri State Road, in Arnold, 63010, officiated by Pastor Ray Frazier. Memorials in Wayne’s name may be made to: First Baptist Church of Arnold, on memo line: Wayne Kull Memorial.
