Michler, Walter ‘Walt’

Walter “Walt” Michler Jr., 74, of St. Louis County died Sept. 28, 2026. Mr. Michler had a true love for music. He owned a sound company, Skitzo’s Sound Systems and Pro Audio Concepts, where he provided sound for weddings, fairs, festivals, presidential speeches and both local and national music artists. Through Skitzo’s and PAC, he created countless memories and connections with people throughout the years. He also worked for many years at Ameren UE and was an IBEW Local 2 union member for more than 40 years. He took pride in his work, family and the life he built. He was known for living life to the fullest, enjoying the moments, people and experiences. He will be remembered for his love of music, passion for life and unmistakable personality. Born Oct. 6, 1951, he was the son of the late Jean and Walter Michler Sr. 

He is survived by his wife: Debbie Michler; a son: Chad (Robin) Michler; four grandchildren: Dakota, Travis, Trenton and Evan; a great-grandchild: Maevas; and two siblings: Brian (Helen) Michler and Russ (Sandy) Michler.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Miles (Pam) Michler; a son: Zachary Michler; and a granddaughter: Gabby Michler.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
