Vincent James Mazzola, 73, of Arnold died Dec. 20, 2024. After high school, Mr. Mazzola served in the U.S. Navy. He was co-founder of an HVAC business. When not working, he enjoyed spending weekends outdoors hunting or fishing or performing service calls for family and friends. A son of Italian immigrants, he was connected to his roots and would often grab a haircut, pick up bread or other goods to deliver to family and friends or enjoy a meal on The Hill. An animal lover, particularly dogs, he loved spending time with his Labrador, Ebony. He will be remembered for his sense of duty, discipline, loyalty and commitment to family. Born Feb. 12, 1951, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Vincent F. and Vivian (Columbo) Mazzola.
Vince is survived by his wife of 34 years: Judith Mazzola, whom he met in 1981 and married in 1990; a sister: Renee (Dennis) Taylor; two children: Vincent A. Mazzola and Natale (Art) Maurer; two stepchildren: David (Amanda) Rocco and Gina (Brett) Monger; and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents-in-law: Michael and Lorraine Longo.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until services at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at Kutis Funeral Home Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Road, in St. Louis. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home Affton Chapel.
