Vincent G. Vuylsteke Sr., 70, of Imperial died Aug. 12, 2026. Mr. Vuylsteke was proud of his family. The more people he had around him, the happier he was. He loved to travel, camp and boat. He was the founder of Gold Star Roofing in Jefferson County and ran it for many years with his wife. He will be remembered for living this life to the fullest. Born Feb. 5, 1956, he was the son of the late Clarence J. Vuylsteke and Vera (Renz) Vuylsteke.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Karen Vuylsteke.
He is survived by six children: Vincent (Natalia) Vuylsteke Jr., Jennifer (Jeremy) Webb, Tonya (Roger) Huskey, C. Jason (Jessica) Vuylsteke, Letha Axton and Tony (Christy) Axton; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a nephew: Joe; and many other friends and family members.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Carl and Ron; a half-brother: C.O.; a sister: Laverne; and two sisters-in-law: Catherine and Judy Vuylsteke.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a funeral service at noon Tuesday, Aug. 18, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
