Stephen Douglas Golden, 80, of Imperial died Aug. 11, 2026, in St. Louis. Mr. Golden was an entrepreneur and real estate investor. Born July 1, 1946, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Esther Ophelia (Costner) Golden and James Filmore Golden.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Carolyn (Prenger) Golden of Imperial; three children: Stephen Douglas "Doug" Golden Jr. of St. Louis, Robert "Bob" (Rinku) Golden of Imperial and Brian Golden of San Diego, Calif.; three grandchildren: Brendan Golden of St. Charles, Katie (Matthew) Smith of Imperial and Kellie Golden of St. Louis; and three great-grandchildren: Sophie Smith, Stella Smith and Elaine Smith, all of Imperial.
He was preceded in death by his wife of nine years: Jean (Worrall) Golden; and a sibling: Roberta (Golden) Kopp.
A memorial visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a memorial service at noon Saturday, Aug. 22, at Kutis Funeral Home, Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Road, in St. Louis. Memorials may be made to Shriner Children's Hospital in St. Louis or the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul in St. Louis. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home, Affton Chapel.
