Williams, Shawn

Shawn Dalene Williams, 56, of Mineral Point died Feb. 8, 2024, at her home. Ms. Williams worked as an assembly worker for Ford Motor Co. She was an animal lover who enjoyed Westerns, antiques, poetry, English literature and novels. She enjoyed shopping and gardening. She also loved music and played the saxophone in her younger years. She was a collector of many things and was very meticulous about her house being well-kept and clean. She often cooked and prepared food for the King Solomon Lodge in Affton. She was known for being caring and generous. Born Feb. 28, 1967, in Hudson, Mich., she was the daughter of Juanita (Poling) White of Crowley Ridge and the late William Harold White.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by three children: William White of Mineral Point, Kyle (Angelica) Williams of Barnhart and Annie Williams of Olathe, Kan.; two grandchildren: Oliver James Nichelson and Dorothy Grace Williams; a significant other: Michael Eades of Mineral Point; a sister: Billie Jo Hoyer of Poplar Bluff; and many other family members, friends and pets.

She was preceded in death by a sister: Deonna White.

Visitation is scheduled for 10 a.m. until a service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at Cozean Memorial Chapel, 217 W. Columbia St., in Farmington. Burial will follow in New Diggins Cemetery in Potosi. Memorials may be made to the Farmington Pet Adoption Center, P.O. Box 45, Farmington, 63640. Arrangements are under the direction of Cozean Funeral Home.
