Sharon (Benson) Roth, 80, of Eureka died May 17, 2024. Mrs. Roth loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She found joy in her many trips to Branson. She enjoyed tending to her garden, watching classic movies and TV shows and listening to her favorite songs from the 50s and 60s. She also enjoyed listening to Christmas songs. She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and her excellent cooking. Born April 15, 1944, in Fenton, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Elsie (Lamar) Benson.
She was preceded in death by her first husband: Robert Taylor.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years: Frank Roth; two children: Teresa Otte and Renea (Curt) Moellering; a step-daughter: Melissa Roth; seven grandchildren: Melissa Parker, Jason Walls, Mike Walls, Megan Walls, Anthony Roth, Erin Derricott and Kennedy VanDeven; eight great-grandchildren: Daisy Coffman, Evan Walls, Michael Davenport, Brynleigh Walls, Leif Seaman, Dahlia Seaman, Hazel Ziegler and Emerson Derricott; two honorary grandkids: Angie Nahlik and Cara Drollinger; a brother: Jerry (Joanne) Benson; and many other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by six brothers.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. A funeral ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, May 23, at the mortuary. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill. Memorials may be made to the Cardinal Glennon Children’s Foundation or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
