Sandra Kay Guenther, 62, of De Soto died March 21, 2026, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Guenther worked as a stitcher for the De Soto Shoe Factory and the Red Wing Shoe Factory. She also worked for Chrysler Automobile Manufacturing Plant in Fenton. Born Nov. 26, 1963, in Festus, she was the daughter of the late Jerry and Patricia (Solomon) Wickerham.
She is survived by her husband: Charles “Chop” Guenther of De Soto; a son: Robert “Bobbie” (Dani Burch) Guenther Sr. of De Soto; two grandchildren: Robert Guenther Jr. and Abigail Guenther; three sisters: Karen (Robert) Haverstick of De Soto, Shari (Tony) Wieda of Londell and Donna (John) Reynolds of St. Louis; a brother: Joe (Juliette) Wickerham of Pilot Grove; and a brother-in-law: Bobby Shepard.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Joyce Shepard.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a funeral service at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 26, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. Mike Rose. Interment will be in Gamel Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Gamel Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
