Sally Thomas, 74, of De Soto died June 18, 2025, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Ms. Thomas spent much of her life in Minnesota, where she raised her two sons. She returned to the St. Louis area to be closer to her extended family. She was known as a vibrant, fun-loving and free-spirited woman who was the life of the party. She also was known for her joyful energy and generosity, which made others feel welcome. She enjoyed attending big gatherings, traveling and spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her warmth, her adventurous spirit, the laughter she brought to a room and the way she made others feel like family. Born July 11, 1950, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Audrey and Charles Wade.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Wendy Thomas of Savage, Minn.; two grandsons: Jacob and Lucas Thomas; her significant other: Larry Pippin of De Soto; Larry’s many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister and brother-in-law: Barb and Pat Milligan; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son: Ryan Thomas; a granddaughter: Lexi Lee Thomas; and two brothers: Bob Wade (the late Kathy Wade) and Larry Wade.
Services are private. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
