Ronald Elmer “Butch” Schuchardt Jr., 68, of St. Louis County died Jan. 24, 2025, at Delmar Garden South in St. Louis County. Mr. Schuchardt was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed everything outdoors, including fishing and hunting. He also loved gardening and cooking. Born July 21, 1956, in Camp Pendleton, Calif., he was the son of the late Alice (Trice) Farmer and stepson of the late Everett Earl Farmer.
He is survived by his wife: Barbara (Hartung) Schuchardt; a daughter: Amanda (Jarred) Henderson; three grandchildren: Jay Carroll, Gabe Carroll and Brezdon Henderson; and seven siblings: Charlie (Sarah) Farmer, Debbie (Rick) Simmons, Joyce (Rick) Koepke, Robert (Sherri) Schuchardt, Frank Schuchardt, Ginny (Jerry) Shoemaker and James (Faye) Farmer.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. today, Feb. 3, at Chapel Hill Mortuary-Robert Brown Chapel, 103 4th St. in Hillsboro. A funeral service is scheduled for noon Tuesday, Feb. 4, at the chapel. Burial will follow in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary-Robert Brown Chapel.
