Roussin, Rolland

Rolland Anthony “Rol” Roussin, 91, of Crystal City died Oct. 16, 2024, at his home. Mr. Roussin was a 1951 graduate of Crystal City High School. He was an Air Force veteran, a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was the owner and operator of Roussin Sheet Metal in Crystal City. Born Oct. 2, 1933, in Crystal City, he was the son of the late Lucille (Striler) and John Roussin.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years: Helen (Dunker) Roussin; a child: Mike (Debi) Roussin of Peoria, Ill.; four grandchildren: Matt (Sara) Roussin of Downers Grove, Ill., Sarah (Deakon) Provost of Bloomington, Ill., Phillip (Jessica) Roussin of Crystal City and Ric (Angela) Roussin of Festus; and nine great-grandchildren: Madison, Brady and Jamison Provost, Avery Roussin and Cecilia, Danna, Jensen, Lynn and Matthew Roussin and one more on the way. 

He was preceded in death by a child: Richard (Cindy survives of Festus) Lynn; and a sister: Dolores Roussin.  

Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 555 Bailey Road, in Crystal City, officiated by Father Michael Boehm. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Masses at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
