Robert J. Dierks, 71, of De Soto died June 2, 2025. Mr. Dierks was an assembly worker for Chrysler. He enjoyed fishing with friends, working in his garage, building vehicles, welding and fabricating, waving at passersby from his front porch and spending time with his family. He served in the U.S. Army and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1831. Born Sept. 2, 1953, in Blackwell, he was the son of the late Loretta and Raymond Dierks.
He is survived by a son: Jeremy Dierks of Hillsboro; a daughter: Bobbi Dierks of De Soto; a sister: Kathy (Steve) Bequette of Cadet; two grandchildren: Logen Courtois and Landen Brooks; two great-grandchildren: Rory Courtois and Dallas Lewis; and numerous family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Timothy Dierks and Frank Dierks; four sisters: Loraine Christian, Connie Christian, Marcia Dierks and Debbie Dierks; and a grandson: Tayte Alexander Boyer.
Services were held June 7 at Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. Bruce Valle. Burial was in Peaceful Ridge Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
