Phyllis Ann Boyer, 85, of De Soto died May 14, 2026, at her home. Mrs. Boyer worked as a teacher for the De Soto School District. She enjoyed tutoring, gardening, helping others and volunteering, especially at Hillcrest Care Center in De Soto while her husband was a resident there. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and St. Stephen Catholic Church and was active in her church community. Born March 16, 1941, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Mary Ann (Rulo) and Frank Thebeau.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Clarence David Boyer.
She is survived by two sons: David Boyer of De Soto and Francis “Joe” (Carol) Boyer of Festus; three grandchildren: Christina Wagner, Jennifer Marshall and Felicia Boyer; seven great-grandchildren: Emily, Benjamin, Noah, Aaron, Amber, Austin and Arabella; three great-great-grandchildren: Bodey, Archer and Colter; and numerous other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter: Mary Frances Drake; a brother: Floyd “Jack” Todd, and a sister: Dorothy Gardner.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, May 21, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main, in De Soto. Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Friday, May 22, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, 11514 Hwy. A, in Richwoods, 63071. Memorials may be made to St. Joachim Catholic School, 10121 Crest Rd., Cadet, 63630, or St. Stephen’s Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery in Richwoods. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
