Orvil Edward Livingston, 94, of Hillsboro died July 27, 2025. Mr. Livingston spent his working years on the assembly line at General Motors. Outside of work, he loved staying active. He enjoyed playing golf and Frisbee golf, going shooting and swing dancing. He was known for always being up for a good time and appreciating the simple things in life. Born Feb. 15, 1931, in Sikeston, he was the son of the late Frank and Beatrice Livingston.
She was preceded in death by his wife: Mable Louise Livingston; and his second wife: Caroline (Key) Livingston.
He is survived by four sons: Robert Livingston of Clinton Township, Mich., Joseph “Dale” (Patty) Livingston of Hillsboro, Jessie (Wanda) Livingston of Arnold and Oney (Bonnie) Livingston of Paragould, Ark.; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
He also was preceded in death by a special friend: Caroline Baugus; a daughter-in-law: Deborah Livingston; two brothers: Charlie Livingston and Amio Livingston; and three sisters: Virginia, Dorothy and Doris Livingston.
A graveside service with military honors is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8, in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
