Michael Gerard Kelsch, 72, of Festus, formerly of Florissant, died Sept. 24, 2026. Mr. Kelsch was proud of the family he built, as he had always dreamed of having a large family. He loved spending time with them, creating many memories and traditions. He was embraced by his wife’s family, who welcomed him and treated him as one of their own. He enjoyed the outdoors, appreciating the beauty of nature and the peace it brought him. He also maintained lifelong connections and stayed in regular contact with many of his friends, valuing their loyalty and sincerity. Born Sept. 5, 1954, he was the son of the late George Anthony Kelsch.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years: Kimberly Ruth Kelsch.
He is survived by six children: Jaime (Chris) Kintz, Rachael (Chris) Kelsch, Anna (Matt) Roesch, Michael (Elizabeth) Kelsch, Robert (Lindsey) Kelsch and David (Nicole) Kelsch; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
