Mary Margaret Lucas, 86, of Festus died May 6, 2026, at Delmar Gardens South in St. Louis County. Mrs. Lucas retired from AT&T as a payroll and office clerk. She was a longtime member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Crystal City, where she was an Elder and served on numerous church committees throughout the years. Born Dec. 23, 1939, in Desloge, she was the daughter of the late Doris (Ponder) and Dr. Richard Davis.
She is survived by her husband: William Joseph “Bill” Lucas; a son: Rick (Donna) Lemar of Desloge; a daughter: Deb (Pat) Gant of Festus; two stepchildren: Karen (Michael) Richardson of St. Louis County and Kathy Robinson of Summerville, S.C.; eight grandchildren: Richard (Shianna) Cox, Hilari (Micah) Nelson, Lucas Lemar, Vince (Lindsay) Abernathy, Matthew (Diana) Richardson, Kevin (Leah) Richardson, Christopher (Sara) Robinson and Nicole Woods; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Cynthia Kay Lemar; and a sister: Jamie (the late Ed) Hanna.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until services at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 9, at Grace Presbyterian Church, 105 Bailey Road, in Crystal City, officiated by Pastor Vicky Brown. Memorials may be to Grace Presbyterian Church or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
