Warner, Mary

Mary Louise Warner, 77, of Herculaneum, formerly of Arnold, died Jan. 23, 2025, at her home. Mrs. Warner was an active member of SpiritWord Church in House Springs. A woman of strong faith, she served the church’s kids ministry for more than 40 years, taught for Victory Christian Academy in Pevely for 13 years and was a director for Victory Christian Daycare in Pevely for 18 years before her retirement. She is remembered for her huge heart and dedication to spreading her faith. Born Dec. 23, 1947, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Eleanor (Port) and Walter Walkenbach.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Clarence Norman Warner Sr.

She is survived by a daughter: Barbara Lynn Warner of St. Louis; three sons: Clarence N. (Dawn) Warner Jr. of Pevely, Christopher Warner of Arnold and Kurt (Tabitha) Warner of Pevely; three sisters: Jeanne (Vern) Swaboda of Arnold, Margie (Elmer) Marz of Arnold and Kathy (Sha Kaufmann) Keith of south St. Louis County; two brothers: Michael (Debbie) Walkenbach of Arnold and Walter Walkenbach Jr. of Arnold; nine grandchildren: Amber (Jake) Buehler, Brooke (Tim) Shores, Elizabeth Warner, Brenden Warner, Kait (Kailee) Boyer, Collin Warner, Hayden Warner, Kira Warner and Pete Clarence Franco; and six great-grandchildren: Jenna, Leigha and Kane Buehler, Aubree, Maya and Malachi Shores.

She also was preceded in death by an infant daughter: Jill Louise Warner.

A memorial gathering is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. until a celebration of life at noon Saturday, Feb. 1, at SpiritWord Church, 4400 Kennerly Park Road, in House Springs, officiated by Pastors Tim and Tina Notz. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
