Mary Jo Ann Rodriguez, 63, of De Soto died March 21, 2026, at her home. Ms. Rodriguez was known for her beautiful soul and natural gift for caring for others. A hard worker and U.S. Navy veteran, she was a server for more than 20 years, with her latest occupation being a cashier at the local produce stand, Chico's. She had a love for Christmas and, most of all, enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially her children and grandchildren. Born Jan. 5, 1963, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Melba (Richardson) Church.
She is survived by a son: Justin Rodriguez of Romulus, Mich.; two daughters: Desiree (Jeff Marcou) Kaestner of Imperial and Ashley (Mark) Pratte of De Soto; six grandchildren: Brooklyn, Nadia, Rilee, Maddie, Oaklee and Oaklyn; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Joey Pratt and John Church; and a grandson: Brantlee Pratte.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 5 p.m. until a celebration of life at 6:15 p.m. Friday, April 17, at Amvets Post 42, 555 Joachim Ave., in Herculaneum. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
