Mary Ann Frances Hauser, 91, of De Soto died Sept. 20, 2025. Mrs. Hauser had a lifelong love of music and shared that passion as a piano and organ teacher for many years. When she wasn’t teaching, she enjoyed horseback riding, gardening as a certified master gardener and bird watching. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. A devoted member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in De Soto, she was known to live her life grounded in faith, kindness and generosity. Born Jan. 17, 1934, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late John and Sophia (DeRagisch) Lochner.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Roger L. Hauser.
She is survived by four sons: Michael (Judy) Hauser of De Soto, Stephen Hauser of St. Charles, Douglas (Kristine) Hauser of Excelsior Springs and Christopher Hauser of Festus; two sisters: Elizabeth Krocka of St. Louis and Carol Lodes of St. Louis; seven grandchildren: Wesley and Kimberly Hauser, Bruce LeVall, Jesse and Alexa Hauser, Tara and Justin Hauser; and numerous other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by a brother: John Lochner Jr.
Interment will be in the Peaceful Ridge Mausoleum De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
