Martha Jane Thomas, 82, of Hillsboro died May 15, 2025. Mrs. Thomas was the owner of Crystal Donut Shop. Born July 16, 1942, in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late Ruth (Oatman) Braverman and Charles Whitehead.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Harvey James “Big Jim” Thomas Sr.
She is survived by a child: Mary Kay (Doug) Birch of Hillsboro; a sibling: Carl Whitehead of Hillsboro; two grandchildren: Mandy Birch and Miranda Birch; and a great-grandchild: Aria.
She also was preceded in death by a son: Harvey Thomas Jr.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a funeral service at 1 p.m. today, May 19, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
