Linda Hunot, 85, of Valles Mines died April 11, 2026, at her home. Mrs. Hunot worked as a service center manager at Sears and was a member of the De Soto Community Church of God. Born Jan. 18, 1941, in Polar Bluff, she was the daughter of the late Sherman Franklin and Rachel A. (White) Cross.
She was preceded in death by her husband: James Paul Hunot.
She is survived by a child: James Paul “Jimmy” Hunot of Valles Mines.
She also was preceded in death by a son: Michael Hunot; and a brother: Teddy Cross.
A graveside service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, in Woodlawn Cemetery, 1402 S. Fifth St., in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
