Larry Gale Wehner, 75, of De Soto died March 31, 2024, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Wehner served in the U.S. Army and was a retired welder for the Union Pacific Railroad. He was also a photographer. Born Oct. 26, 1948, in Salem, he was the son of the late Gladys M. (Mason) and George P. Wehner.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years: Dixie (Copeland) Wehner of De Soto; two children: Tracee Trice of St. Louis and Brittany (Mike) Laux of Mascoutah, Ill.; and four grandchildren: Katelynn (Jeff) Weggemann, Isaiah Bynum, Ross Laux and Tyler Laux.
Visitation is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. until services at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of De Soto, 400 Boyd St., De Soto, 63020. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
