Larned Justin, 83, of Byrnes Mill died May 29, 2025, in St. Louis. Mr. Justin was a talented artist known for oil paintings, watercolors, cartoons and self-published comic books. He hosted a regular YouTube show dedicated to reviewing and promoting self-published comics. He served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed gaming on computer and console video games, telling stories and spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered for his quick wit and for being a kid at heart. Born Feb. 17, 1942, in Harvey, Ill., he was the son of the late John and Eleanor Justin.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 57 years: Kathy Justin; two children: Robin Wilhelm and Daniel Justin; two grandchildren: Kaylie Wilhelm and Carter Wilhelm; a son-in-law: Bob Wilhelm; and many other family members and friends.
Visitation, with examples of Mr. Justin’s art on display, will be from 11 a.m. until services at 2 p.m. Friday, June 27, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Memorials may be made to Faith Community Church, 4824 Scottsdale Road, in House Springs, 63051. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
