Kiernan Shawn Doyle Ward, 14, of House Springs died Oct. 31, 2024. Kiernan was a member of the Valley Middle School robotics club as well as the Valley Middle School choir. He is remembered as an active, adventurous, fun-loving and positive boy who loved being outside, whether it be climbing trees or anything to do with water. He was known for his love of taking things apart to see how they work. He enjoyed video games, Marvel, anime and, over the past couple of years, he found a love for cooking for his family. He loved spending time with his family, from being involved in conversations to being a part of his cousins’ lives. Born May 7, 2010, in St. Louis, he was the son of Stacy Lynn Gebhardt of St. Louis and Doyle (Amanda) Ward III of House Springs.
In addition to his mother, father and stepmother, he is survived by two brothers: Alexander Ward of Lake St. Louis and Lucas Ward of House Springs; four sisters: Sabrina Ward of Florissant, Brianna Garcia of House Springs, Isabella Garcia of House Springs and Ellyanna Garcia of House Springs; eight grandparents: Ed and Anne Ward of Fredericktown, Terry McAfee of High Ridge, John and Crystal Tindall, Michael and Katie Boehm and Steven Gebhardt of St. Louis; three uncles: Kenny, Nicholas and Jeff; five aunts: Cassy, Stephanie, Amanda, Erika and Kelly; and numerous family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother: Debbie McAfee.
Services are scheduled from 4 p.m. until services at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at Connect Church, 1779 Springdale Blvd., in Fenton, officiated by Pastor Chris Perstrope. Memorials may be made to the Forever 13, P.O. Box 313, Cedar Hill, 63016, or to keeganforever13.org/. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
