Kenneth James “Ken” Stackley, 80, of Crystal City died June 27, 2026, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Stackley served as a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He was a retired maintenance man for the old Jefferson Memorial Hospital for more than 30 years and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Crystal City, Knights of Columbus 1230 and American Legion Post 253. Born April 5, 1946, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Marjorie (Cook) and Norvel Stackley.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years: Elizabeth “Betty” (Wallman) Stackley.
He is survived by two sons: Chad (Kara) Stackley of Pevely and Kevin (Kimberly) Stackley of Festus; four grandchildren: Ryan (Hannah) Stackley, Jillian Stackley, Haley Denbow and Ariel (Zac) Etherton; two great-grandchildren: Mabry Etherton and Sidney Stackley; and three sisters: Donna (the late Rich) Parr of St. Louis, Linda (the late Gene) Colin of Festus and Jane Pierce of Festus.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, July 1, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. A funeral Mass is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, July 2, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 555 Bailey Road, in Crystal City, officiated by Father Stephen Lian. Interment with full military honors will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Missouri, 1201 Macklind Ave., St. Louis, 63110.
