Judy Lynn Smith, 72, of De Soto died Nov. 9, 2024, in Festus. Mrs. Smith worked for Ritepoint Pen and Stratford Inn. She loved horses and, in her free time, she enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling with her sister and mother. Born May 23, 1952, in Doe Run, she was the daughter of the late Lester C. Casteel and Nelda M. (Carr) Casteel.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert E. Smith.
She is survived by a son: Tim Stanfill of De Soto; a brother: Darrell (Sue) Casteel of Festus; a sister: Theresa (Brian) Ott of Arnold; a grandson: Dominic Stanfill; an aunt: Mynaun Brown; and numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation is scheduled from 3-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at Mahn Funeral Home De Soto Chapel, 900 N. Main. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Ryan Sutton. Burial will follow in Peaceful Ridge Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
