Joseph C. Stuckenschneider, 82, of Arnold died May 1, 2025, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Mr. Stuckenschneider was a retired service manager at Weber Chevrolet and a retired maintenance worker for the Fox School District. He attended Holy Family Catholic Church and was a member of several church organizations, the Machinists Local 777, the Arnold Rifle and Pistol Club and the Jaycees. He also helped with the Boy Scouts. Born Oct. 25, 1942, in St. Elizabeth, he was the son of the late Isabelle (Vandeven) and John C. Stuckenschneider
He is survived by his wife of 61 years: Helen C. (Ortbals) Stuckenschneider of Arnold; seven children: Joseph C. (Kathy) Stuckenschneider Jr. of Affton, Lori (Mike) Rotan of Arnold, Jeffrey Stuckenschneider of Arnold, Brian (Andrea) Stuckenschneider of Arnold, Mark (Sharon) Stuckenschneider of Imperial, Jean (John) Sutton of Festus and Kristi (Jayson) Mierek of Fenton; four siblings: Pat Medsker, Mary Lou Stuckenschneider, Janet (Larry) Mehmert and John Stuckenschneider; 10 grandchildren: Matt (Chaley) Rotan of Fenton, Nathan Rotan of Arnold, Abby Rotan of Arnold, Janiece Stuckenschneider of Arnold, Stephen (Gabrielle) Stuckenschneider of Robertsville, SJ Stuckenschneider of Arnold, David Stuckenschneider of Arnold, Megan Stuckenschneider of St. Louis, Kyle Stuckenschneider of Imperial and Jonathan Sutton of Festus; and a great-grandchild: Blair Rotan of Fenton.
He was preceded in death by an infant son: Jeffrey Lane Stuckenschneider; and two siblings: Norma Beck and Linda Epstein.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Friday, May 9, at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. A funeral Mass is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at Holy Family Parish Center, 2300 Church Road, in Arnold, officiated by Father Blessing. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Arnold. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or Pony Bird. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel.
