Reece, Jessica

Jessica Erin Reece, 38, of Imperial died July 8, 2025, after a battle with Leiomyosarcoma. Ms. Reece started her early education at St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf, then attended Windsor Schools, graduating in 2005. She went on to Webster University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business management, and became an accountant. She worked for GS Advisors for the last four years until March, when her illness progressed. She loved spending time with her family and being an aunt. She was a talented artistic roller skater, winning multiple national and regional championships. She coached artistic figure skating at Rollercade for more than 15 years and especially enjoyed mentoring the young skaters, teaching them and cheering them on at competitions. She will be remembered for her kindness, warmth and friendly nature. Born May 27, 1987, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Genny (Crow) and Jim Reece of Imperial.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two siblings: Lisa (Matt) Halim of High Ridge and Kelly (Chris) Thaller of Brentwood; a nephew: Zachariah Halim of High Ridge; her dog: Zoey; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Herbert and Gertrude (Voellinger) Crow and William “Archie” and Delores (Darian) Reece.

Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, July 17, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Shepherd Hills Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf or Cardinal's Kids Cancer Center at Mercy Children’s Hospital in St. Louis. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel.
