Archer, Jerik

Jerik Markel Archer, 26, of Imperial died Jan. 13, 2024. Mr. Archer grew up in Jefferson City until the age of 15 when he moved with his mom and siblings to Festus where he graduated high school. Mastering most things he did, he was a talented MMA fighter. He went on to study carpentry, plumbing and had most recently received his admission to an electrical apprenticeship in St. Louis. He started his family with his fiancée, Haley, and, above everything, he loved being a father.  A jack of all trades, a protector and a warrior. He was known for making his mark anywhere he went. He will be remembered for his loyalty and his loving personality. Born Dec. 30, 1997, in Jefferson City, he was the son of Angela Archer and Lawane Webb of Jefferson City.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter: Malia Josephine Louise Archer of Imperial; fiancee: Haley Luksza of Imperial; nine siblings: Shavon Rucker, Aniya Rucker, Courtney White, Alissa White, Lawane Webb Jr., Mason Prenger, Demont Webb, Isabelle Webb and Wayne Webb; three grandmothers:  Mildred Archer, Donna White and Jennifer Webb; a grandfather: Bishop Alfonse Webb; a bonus mom: Katie Hinton;  another dad, Chad White, who raised him; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation is scheduled for noon until a funeral service at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by Bishop Alfonse Webb of House of Refuge in Jefferson City. Memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses by visiting https://gofund.me/00c302ea.
