Javata J. “Bunkie” Conway, 90, of Arnold died Dec. 27, 2025. Mrs. Conway will be remembered for her faith, humor, sass, generosity and strength. She found joy in her church community at Heartland Church, giving to many charities and organizations and spending time with her family and friends. Born July 16, 1935, in Morehouse, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mabel Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Lowell D. Conway.
She is survived by three children: Debra (Daniel) Werner of Imperial, Michael (Cheri) Conway of Arnold and David Conway of Arnold; seven grandchildren: Danny Werner, Lisa Conway, Stacey Michel, Ryan Conway, Matthew Conway, Jacob (Anna) Conway and Timothy Conway; four great-grandchildren: Jack and Sam Michel, Carter Conway and Lucas Conway; and many other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by a son: Mark Conway; a grandson: Tyler Conway; and a grandson-in-law: David Michel.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County. A funeral service is scheduled for noon Wednesday, Dec. 31, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel.
