Rosa, Jason

Jason Allen Rosa, 45, of Hillsboro died May 31, 2026. Mr. Rosa worked as a contractor, cement installer and roofer, and was respected for his strong work ethic and determination. He was known for his hardworking spirit, love for family and friends and passion for life. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, fondly known to him as “Bowlife.” He will be remembered for his strength, kindness, infectious laugh, warm smile and the love he shared with others. Born Feb. 6, 1981, he was the son of Jeff (Victoria) Rosa and the late Melinda (Buckingham) Rosa. 

He is survived by five children: Destiny, Pheonyx, Shyann, David, and Daisy May Rosa; two grandchildren: Alanna and Rylee; five siblings: Joshua Rosa, Harley Iverson, Kadi Sadar, Brooke Rosa and Sarah Freeman; four nieces and nephews: Jadyn, Lillian, Dakota and Issac Rosa; and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death a sister: Kathlynne Rosa; and his grandparents: Chester and Mona Rosa and Cotton and Shirley Buckingham.

Memorial visitation is scheduled from 5 p.m. until a memorial service at 7 p.m. Monday, June 15, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, Robert Brown Chapel, 103 Fourth St., in Hillsboro. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary, Robert Brown Chapel.
