Janet Lynn (Copeland) Miller, 74, formerly of Cedar Hill, died May 3, 2026, in Chesterfield. Mrs. Miller was known for her heart of gold, gentle spirit, unforgettable hugs, thoughtful messages and compassion. She enjoyed caring for others and helping those in need. She loved crocheting, traveling, trying new foods, seeing the ocean, watching the autumn leaves, catching a movie at the theater or a show at The Muny, playing with the babies, playing Rummikub, Mexican Train and card games. Most of all, she loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness and selfless love. Born Sept. 13, 1951, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Collette (Stewart) and Richard Copeland.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Edward F. Miller.
She is survived by five children: Tim Miller, Tracy (Ron) Pizzo, Becky (Jim Trifonas) Miller, Susan (Matt) Green and Allison (Eric Wilker) Brewster; 15 grandchildren: Timothy Miller, Jon Olson, Danielle Hall, Brad Watson, Haley Pizzo, Jacob Pizzo, Jason Miller, Randy Miller, Niko Trifonas, Kiersten Green, Tyler Green, Lucas Green, Victoria Rose, Sierra Rose and Samantha Rose; 18 great-grandchildren; five siblings: Joanne (Larry) Taube, Ricky (Tammy) Copeland, Linda (Kevin) Boss, Barry (Cheryl) Copeland and Daniel (Ailyn) Copeland; a sister-in-law: Terri Copeland; a best friend: Carol Hilfman; and many other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by three siblings: Mark Copeland, Robert Copeland and David Copeland.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today, May 11, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Services are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, at Chapel Hill Mortuary. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to Family Forward at familyforwardmo.org/donate/. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
