James David Plymale Jr., 69, of Arnold died May 27, 2026. Mr. Plymale was retired and had served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of VFW Post 2184. Born Nov. 12, 1956, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Lavaughn (Clements) King and James Plymale.
He is survived by a sibling: Beverly (John) Marzuco of O'Fallon; two nephews: Klaus Mahler of Arnold and Shawn Mahler of Jennings; a niece: Kendra Potts of O'Fallon; four great-nieces: Britta Miller, Kairia Marzuco, Kaida Potts and Maiya Potts; and two great-nephews: Zac Mahler and Camren Mahler.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-7 p.m. Monday, June 15, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will take place in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. A celebration of life will follow services at VFW Post 2184, 6327 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel.
