Longley, Grant

Grant Taylor Longley, 68, of French Village died Jan. 10, 2025. Mr. Longley worked as a general contractor. He also was Christian. Born Nov. 27, 1956, in St. Francois County, he was the son of the late Marjorie Billingsley and William Longley.

He is survived by two children: Emily (Kurt) Walker of University City and Laura (Chris) Fank of St. Louis; five grandchildren: Kurt Walker Jr. of St. Louis, Mary Walker of St. Louis, Elijah Walker of St. Louis, Naomi Walker of University City and Simone Walker of University City; four siblings: William N. (Lina) Longley of the Philippines, Mark (Penney) Longley of Ste. Genevieve, Rebecca (William) Venz of Festus and Susan Owens of San Diego, Calif.; and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by a nephew: Brent Owens; and a brother-in-law: Virgil Alan Owens.

Mr. Longley donated his body to the St. Louis University Center for Anatomical Science and Education. A celebration of life is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at Second Baptist Church, 723 Horine Road, in Festus, officiated by Pastor James King.
