Gertrude Anita (Voellinger) Crow, 97, of Imperial died Aug. 10, 2024. Mrs. Voellinger retired as manager of Pope’s Cafeteria, was the original owner of Rollercade Skating Rink and was an Eastern Star past matron. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and gardening. Born Jan. 6, 1927, in Belleville, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Hilda Voellinger.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years: Herbert Crow.
She is survived by four children: Gerald (Nancy Urtz) Crow, Garry (Linda) Crow, Gregory Crow and Genny (Jim) Reece; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in South St. Louis County. A funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m. until a service at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, at New Hope United Methodist Church, 3921 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. Entombment will take place in Lake View Memorial Gardens, in Fairview Heights, Ill. Memorials may be made to Epworth Children’s Home or Harbor Community Church in Barnhart. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel.
