Gary Russell Sams, 71, of Park Hills, formerly of Crystal City, died Oct. 27, 2025, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Mr. Sams was a self-employed handyman and a member of the House of Praise Church of God in Desloge. Born Sept. 20, 1954, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Lena (Aiello) and Charles Sams.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years: Mary (Hoff) Sams of Park Hills; three children: Tracy (Tim) Todd of Festus, Brandon (Amy) Sams of Barnhart and Christopher (Maria) Sams of Festus; a stepson: Jimi (Jill) Goldsmith of Farmington; five grandchildren: Tyler (Megan) Prater of Hillsboro, Madison Todd of Festus, Morgan Todd of Festus, Grant Sams of Barnhart and Emily Sams of Barnhart; three step-grandchildren: Britny, Skyler and Faith; and a great-grandchild: Parker Prater of Hillsboro; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife: Cynthia Anne Sams.
