Gary Lynn Pruett, 80, of Farmington died March 5, 2026. Mr. Pruett served in the U.S. Army, was a high school math teacher and was a member of the Park Hills United Church of Christ. Born Feb. 25, 1946, in Poplar Bluff, he was the son of the late Jewell LaPlante Pruett and Isaac Gideon Pruett.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 46 years: Wanda Caby Pruett.
He is survived by his wife of four years: Mary Dreyer Pruett of Farmington; two children: Ryan (Julie) Pruett of Festus and Nathan (Charlene) Pruett of Bonne Terre; five grandchildren: Nicholas Pruett, Alexander Pruett, Rylie Pruett, Brock Pruett and Jaxon Pruett; a sibling: Caren (William) Black of Farmington; and a brother-in-law: Brad Caby of Farmington.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until services at noon Tuesday, March 10, at C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, 1116 N. Desloge Drive, in Desloge, officiated by Dallas Bear. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery in Scopus. Memorials may be made to Mount Zion Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Desloge.
