Ernie Rebstock, 35, of St. Louis, formerly of De Soto, died Sept. 28, 2024, at Heritage Care Center in St. Louis. Mr. Rebstock was raised in De Soto by his grandmother, Vernie. He earned his high school diploma from Riverview Gardens in St. Louis and was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed watching movies and anime and playing Nintendo games, particularly Smash Bros with his siblings in which he often played as Donkey Kong, Bowser, or later, Solid Snake. He enjoyed helping his mother, making tacos for her, going for long walks together to the store or gas station and spending time with his family. Almost a decade ago, he attended a Denby family reunion where he spent quality time with his aunts, uncles and his cousins. It was there that he also partook in one of his other favorite pastimes: sampling delicious food. He will be remembered for his childlike joy and the light he brought to the lives of those he met. Born June 29, 1989, in St. Louis, he was the son of Marie Denby of De Soto and the late Richard Rebstock.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by three brothers: Eddie, Amos and Daniel; and four sisters: Emily, Etta, Heidi and Vivian.
