Elizabeth Louise Rendleman, 77, of Festus died Aug. 6, 2024, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Known by many as “Betty Lou,” Ms. Rendleman owned her own beauty shop and spent much of her life as a hairdresser. She later retired from Walmart where she was a door greeter and greatly enjoyed talking to people and making new friends. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed tending to her flowers and plants. In her later years, she enjoyed coloring books and puzzles. She always cherished her time with her family. Born June 6, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Constance (Fischer) Burkard.
She is survived by a daughter: Cindy Kayser; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Brenda Lewis; two brothers: Bill and Tony Burkard; and her partner: Walter Jones.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
