Bot, Dolores

Dolores Jane Bot, 89, of Springfield, formerly of Festus, died June 6, 2026, at Springhouse Memory Care in Springfield. Mrs. Bot was a Christian whose faith was very important to her. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting, cleaning, doing laundry and baking Danish pastries, apple turnovers and chocolate chip cookies. Most of all, she loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Born Jan. 15, 1937, in Portageville, she was the daughter of the late Lula Winnie (Wyatt) and Arvel Drewie Cook.

She was preceded in death by her husband: John Marshall Bot. 

She is survived by four daughters: Julie R. Brinkley of Springfield, Mitzi Bot of Asheboro, N.C., Jill (Mark) Sellers of Springfield and Marcy (Kevin) Baron of Springfield; 10 grandchildren: Zachary Powers, Meagan Powers, Bekah (Joseph) Adkins, Amy (Alex) Magu, Savannah Auman, Samantha (Trent) Selsor, Sheridan (Cameron) Frazier, Micah Bot, Olivia Baron and McKenna Baron; three great-grandchildren: Meyer Adkins, Marshall Adkins and Zuri Magu; a sister: Marilyn Faye Montgomery of Dupo, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by 11 siblings. 

Graveside services are scheduled for noon Tuesday, June 9, in Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Memorials may be made to the Pregnancy Care Center, 1342 E Primrose St., Springfield, 65804. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
