Diane Frances (Weigand) Crump, 73, of Hillsboro died Aug. 23, 2026. Ms. Crump enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially an evening of Bingo or a trip to the Boat, where she enjoyed trying her luck at the casino. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Born Oct. 14, 1952, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Ervan Weigand and Geraldine (Bailey) James.
She is survived by two children: Charles (Angela) Crump and Cathy Wallace; four grandchildren: Zack Hedge, Jorden Hedge, Jacob Pingleton and Cole Crump; five great-grandchildren: Claire, McKaylynn, Devin, Rieyel and Zayden; two siblings: Cindy (Dino) Jackson and Pat (Roy) Brooks; and numerous other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by two siblings: Richard Weigand and Bob Weigand.
Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary, Robert Brown Chapel, in Hillsboro.
